((teehee!)) ((I was going to post alot more, but I was at Taylor's house for two days, I had an all day resonaters rehearsal Saturday, and Abby came over to practice for H2H for 3 hours today!))
Echo walked circles around her living room in frustration What's wrong with me! Echo yelled at herself and then smacked her hand to her face. I never should have done this! How can I be so confident about everything but as soon as a guy like Spot comes along I'm weak in the knees and pacing around my house like a nincompoop!
Echo furiously dialed Snicker's number.
"SNICKER!" Echo yelled as soon as she picked up the phone.
"What?!! What!" Snicker shot back in surprise.
"I'm a moron! I called Spot, got nervous, and told him to come over and I'm pretty sure he's gonna!" Echo said while clamping her eyes shut.
"Isn't that a good thing! You love him!" Snicker told her, exaggerating a bit.
"Snicker! This is serious! I think I might be happy, it's just... relationships aren't my best thing OK!" Echo told her in frustration.
"I know, I know. Just stay calm, stay yourself, and stay normal! You can get through this, I promise! Trust me, he'll get there and this whole thing will blow over, you'll be thrilled and you'll both live happily ever after!" Snicker told her gleefully.
"oooo, OK. Thanks Snick! bye!" Echo said, then hung up.
What am I supposed to do until he gets here? hmm.... Echo thought to herself. She sprang up the stairs and bolted into her room. She quickly changed from her pajamas into black jeans and a purple-striped tee. She re did her braids and made sure her breath wasn't disgusting. Echo took one last look in the mirror there, that's better! She heard a knock on the door just as she was walking down the stair. She froze. No Echo! GO! He likes you remember! come on! She forced her legs to move and trotted down the rest of the stairs.
"Hey." She practically whispered as she let Spot in.
"Hey Echo." He replied coolly. They both plopped down on the sofa at the same time.
"So, ummm Spot? Are we...ya know?" Echo questioned with caution. Why am I so damn nervous?!
"Well..." Spot began with a sly grin. He leaned and pressed his lips against her's.
"That should answer ya question." He said with a smirk. Echo grinned at him and laughed.
" I am so stupid. You're the greatest." She told him with a smile. Then Echo wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him once more. Spot pulled her in closer and kissed her back, loving every moment.
"LUCIE!! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!!" Helen screamed when she saw what was going on in the living room. Echo's head shot up and she immediately leaped off the couch.
"Shit..." Echo mumbled under her breath.
"Lucille Grace Quinlan! Who is this, this boy!! Why on earth are you kissing him like that, and when did you even ask if you could have someone over?!" Helen looked like she was about to burst.
"Blame it all on me, please. It's not her fault, I'll leave. bye Echo." He pecked her on the cheek and then walked around Helen and out the door.
Get ready for the lecture of your life... Echo thought to herself in horror and Helen slowly crept toward, a look of fury embedded in her face.

((Sorry! I kept trying to finish the date, but I kept getting INTERRUPTED by my family. Even though the day has sort of passed, I'll finish it.)) The cafe was full of candles and the lights were dim. It all had a cozy and easy feeling to it, which made Birdy relax. The casually dressed waiter led them to a table for two. Birdy and Blink ordered cheese sticks for an appetizer, and laughed at each other as they tried to pull the melty cheese apart. Conversation passed easily between the two, as if they were already friends. Birdy discovered that Blink was the lead singer in a band with Mush, Skittery, and Bumlets. This made her ecstatic. The couple began to talk about their favorite kinds of music, which led to many agreements and a few playful arguments. They both ordered spaghetti, and Blink slurped it jokingly. Birdy laughed, and then showed him the "Italian" way to eat it, which she explained in a fake accent. Birdy had never felt so at ease with anyone except her immediate family and her best friends. After they had finished, the discussion about who should pay the bill began. Blink insisted on paying, but Birdy said they should split it. Blink gave in, saying that was fair. ((Get it? )) They agreed that dessert could be skipped, since they didn't have much money. The waiter came, and they shoved their cash into the center. Birdy thanked him politely, and she and Blink donned their coats. Blink hailed another cab, and the pair slipped into the worn seats. This time, they sat much closer together. Birdy even dared to rest her head on Blink's shoulder. They spent the rest of the ride in silence: there wasn't any need to talk. The taxi pulled up to Birdy's apartment complex, and she and Blink climbed out. He took her by the hand and led her away from the driver's view. "I had a wonderful evening with you, Blink," Birdy began, her heart pounding, "You're an amazing guy." Blink smiled widely, and Birdy's knees went weak. "Birdy, I've never met a girl like you. You're....fascinating, and....and I want to keep seeing you. Is that all right?" he asked, his blue eyes gleaming. Birdy's breath caught in her throat. Fascinating? Me? she thought. When she remembered to take a breath, she whispered quietly, "Yes, it certainly is." The two stared into each other's eyes for a moment, and then their lips collided. The kiss was tender and sweet, with secret thoughts spoken in it. Birdy broke away first, with the feeling that she had been flying. Blink leaned in and their foreheads touched. "Gravity release me," Blink sang softly. Birdy automatically added on to the end of the Coldplay song. "And don't ever hold me down." "Now my feet won't touch the ground," they ended together. Blink kissed Birdy on the cheek. "I'll call you tommorrow." "Please, do," Birdy replied. They smiled at each other once more, and Blink returned to the cab. She watched until the yellow car was out of sight. Birdy skipped into the building and ran up the stairs, singing the whole way.

Snicker lay on her bed that Friday night with a needle in her hand and a fluffy white cat napping at her side. She was trying to stitch together a teeny handbag for one of the porcelain dolls her Grandmother passed down to her. "I think Emily is pretty, but her dress is falling apart." She sighed as she tied a thread into place. "Foofie, while I've got everything out, would you like a sweater?" The cat's head flew up and it's eyes grew large, full of terror. "I didn't think you would." Snicker set down her work and eyed her cell phone. Her date is bound to be over... -- Birdy's phone vibrated violently on her bedroom desk. She quickly pulled her pajama pants up and opened her phone to read the new text. DETAILS GURL! It read. Birdy giggled and texted back. Snicker screamed with delight, WE KISSED!

((Skipping some stuff. I hope it's ok that I add a member to the ____ family. I also never told you Specs' real name... Sorry if Annie looks a lot like Snicker, it's because they both have dark hair and tiny bodies.)) --Saturday afternoon-- Snicker stood on the front porch of Specs' house. It was big compared to the houses all the other boys lived in but it was probably only the size of the garage on Snicker's house. She took a breath and rang the doorbell. She let out her breath as she heard a chime and a familiar voice shout "I'll get it!" Specs opened the door and she jumped a little. "Hi," She said meekly. Specs nodded and let her in. "NO! I HATE YOU!" A voice cried from the other room followed by deep laughter. Snicker shot a worried look in the direction of the call. "Oh, thats just my sister, she's playing a board game with my mom in the other room." He reassured her. "I didn't know you had a sister." Snicker smiled. "Yeah, Annie. Shes younger than me. 10, I think. I really don't keep track." He grinned. A skinny girl with long brown hair peeked her head around the corner, eying Snicker. She sprinted out from behind the wall and wrapped her arms around Specs' side. "This your girlfriend, Willie?" She teased. Snicker giggled and bit her finger. He rolled his eyes and pried the little girl off of his hip. "No Annie, I have to help her a little with math." Annie stared at Snicker for a moment without saying anything. Annie only stood a few inches under her chin and both had deep brown eyes and dark brown hair only Annie's bouncy curls only reached to her shoulders while Snicker's ran down to her elbows. "Shes little." Annie said loudly. "Why are you wearing a big bow on your head? Why is there a strange lady on your shirt? Whats in your bag?" Snicker stood uncomfortably while Annie shot questions at her left and right. "Go away Annie!" Specs grumbled, pushing his sister into the other room. "Sorry about her." "Thats ok... Shall we go to your room?" "Uhh... I'm not aloud to have girls in my room, sorry..." Snicker blushed, "Oh... Yeah, sorry I asked. I should have known that." ((Gotta cut it short... BYE!))

((I'm sorry, Echo. I'll just delete it.))
It was late on Saturday morning. Birdy had just woken up and was still in her baggy shirt and pajama pants. When she went to get some cereal, her dad was waiting for her. "How was the date, Eliza?" he asked, sounding casual. Birdy looked him straight in the eye. "It was wonderful. The dinner was very nice, and...Louis is a great guy," she said sincerely. She hadn't lied, but she was keeping a secret. Her dad still wasn't done with the inquisition. "Surely there's more details," he said nonchalantly. ((thankfully, my dad isn't this nosy)) Birdy was turned from him to get a bowl, and she felt her face warming. "Well," she said, still facing away from him, "We went to a cafe called Sienna in SoHo. I ordered spaghetti. And we split the bill 50/50," Birdy said. "Hmmm...I see. That sounds nice," he said, swirling his coffee around. Birdy's little brother, Avery, barged in just in time. "Daaaad! Deadly Pilot 2 isn't working!" he cried. Mr. Geringer took one last look at Birdy, then left to help his son. Birdy let out a sigh of relief. But she knew he'd ask again, so she needed to be ready.

"Sure I know how to do math. 2+2 is 4 and 7x 3 isn't 48!" Snicker joked opening her text book on the wood kitchen table. Specs couldn't help but smile. "You know how to turn decimals into percents, find angles, you know. All that stuff..." He rambled. Snicker nodded her head. Suddenly she heard a loud laugh and turned to face a tall woman with long dark hair and happy blue eyes standing in the open doorway to the kitchen. She strongly resembled Specs and his sister with her think dark hair and the same little smile, only her eyes were a deep blue and she seemed to be given off as more open and cheerful. She walked with one hand tucked under her arm and the other extended, offering Snicker to shake her hand. "I'm Mrs. ______. ((No last name yet )) Will told me about you." Her voice was sweet but still strong. "Angela Kennedy." Snicker replied meekly. "Gee Will, you never told me how cute she is." Mrs.____ teased. Snicker placed a hand over her mouth and giggled. "Really? I don't see it?" He said with a smirk. "Well you need new glasses anyhow. Angela, would you like anything to eat?" His mother offered. She shook her head and Mrs. ____ left the room for them to study. ((This is going to be really really fun.)) ---Later--- "That sums up chapter 7 I guess." Specs said with a shrug. "That went faster then I thought it would, my chauffeur wont be here for another hour or so..." Snicker looked up from the linoleum kitchen floor and stared into Specs' eyes for a minute. A silence fell over them, but only for a moment before Annie ran through the kitchen door wearing an obliviously last minute ninja costume. "You can't see me! I'm a ninja!" She cried jumping up on the counter top. "Annie, you're wearing a black leotard and black socks, you are not a ninja. You look more like you just raided a Salvation Army..." Specs said rolling his eyes at his younger sister immaturity. Annie huffed and threw her hands on her hips. "You're just jealous of my ninja-ie skills!" She roared. "I think you're a ninja, Anne." Snicker stated. Annie stuck her tongue out at her brother and stormed out of the kitchen. "You should be nicer to her." Snicker scolded him. "You sound like my mom."

Echo practically bounced around to her classes the next day at school. She had just about a bazillion songs stuck in her head that just wouldn't get out. She couldn't help but dance to them!
Echo came into her math class skipping to the beat of "Are you gonna be by girl?" and began to head bang wildly once she reached her seat. As soon as her head was done flinging around violently, she saw a pair of sharp dark green eyes.
"Lucille, won't you join us?" Mrs. Hayes sneered at her. Echo giggled nervously, swept her bangs out of her face and flipped to the correct page in there enormous math book. hmm, fractions, whee... Echo rolled her eyes sarcastically. Fractions, like 1/2 like folding something in half, like folding a chair in half... Echo immediately began to hum the tune to "Folding chair" and tap her foot absent-mindedly. Her head began to nod to the beat, then her whole leg was moving around, she started to swivel her butt around in her desk, and then her hand began to fly around in all directions.
"LUCILLE! that is quite enough, to the office!" Mrs.Hayes bellowed at her.
"I'M SORRY!!" Echo choked out at a loud volume before grabbing her stuff and stomping out of the room.
((I've just become incredibly bouncy around music lately!!))

((Music has been in my brain lately, too...)) Snicker was in a singing mood, too. But she had enough control to keep it in for 45 minutes. Although, by passing time she was singing softly under her breath. She was in a good mood today. "Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah..." She sang quietly as she twisted her locker comm. School was finally over. She hadn't seen Echo for awhile and wasn't surprised when she saw her storm out of the front office with a glum look on her face. "What did you do this time?" Snicker said too casually. Echo glanced at the floor and then looked back up at her friend. "I was just kinda, you know, dancing." Echo sighed. She handed Snicker a slip of pink paper covered in tiny black scribbles. She gasped, "THREE detentions for having a song stuck in your head?! Oh, thats it! I knew the public school boards were nuts but this is outrageous! I'm totally suing!" "Hey! Chill out, it's not that bad!" Echo exclaimed, "Besides what happened to 'I just want to fit in and not make a big scene with my money'?" Snicker sighed and handed the paper back to her friend before running out to the waiting CR-V. "You're right... I'm sorry. Hey, I'll try to get on my computer later if you do! Love ya!" "Bye," Echo barely mumbled. ((I really gotta get things going... I still need to bring in the mystery private school boy! Rumors confirmed: I'm so anxious he;s coming in before Specs. I have his appearance (Like Brighton but with really deep blue eyes and MORE HAIR.) so he just needs a name... ))

((AAh! I love folding chair! There's a shadow, you can't see my eyes. And the seas are just a wetter version of the skies))
Birdy was chatting amiably on the phone with Blink about their English class. They were having a debate about Shakespeare with Birdy in defense of him and Blink in offense. In the middle of a speech about the Bard's support of humanism in his plays, Birdy's phone vibrated and she saw that it was Echo's home phone. "Sorry, Blink, I've got to take another call. I'll call you back, okay?" she said sweetly. "All right, you Shakespeare nerd," Blink teased. Birdy made a fake scoffing noise and laughed. "Shut up!" She pressed talk to receive Echo's call. "Hey, Echo," Birdy said, a little irritated that she had to stop talking to Blink, which she thoroughly enjoyed. "Huh, you must have just been talkin' to Blink, right?" Echo asked with a bored tone. "How could you tell?" "You sound P'Oed. And you're always on the phone with him these days. We haven't talked online in a week and a half. You need to let yourself breathe, Birdy!" Echo chastised. Birdy sighed and looked heavenward. "Is that all you wanted to say?" she asked testily. "Yes, and I'm glad I've said it," Echo said, matching Birdy's tone. "Okay, then. I'll try not to talk to my boyfriend as much," she said, trying to end the conversation. There was an awkward silence while each girl waited for the other to say something. When nothing happened, Birdy took initiative. "I'll see you tommorow, all right? Bye, Echo." "Bye."

((umm, that was... pointless?))
"OOF!" Echo hacked after her sister had whapped her over the head with a ginormous pillow. ((now we see the fun side of Helen, yay!))
"Hey, that wasn't nice..." Echo said from the floor, putting on the best "hurt" act ever. Helen's eyes grew wide and she came closer about to comfort her sister. But as soon as she was close enough Echo snatched her ankle and gave her an express trip to the floor.
"Oh you little wretch!" Helen yelled at her, she grabbed her pillow again and jumped up, but not before Echo did. Echo got on the couch and leaped on her sister's back.
This went on for while, but finally the two girls collapsed in a heap laughing more than they had together in a long while.
"So, why the fun all of a sudden?" Echo questioned.
"I don't know... Well I just thought I came down on you kind of hard about the boy. You must have liked him alot, and I just felt bad about it. Besides, i'm not entirely horrible." Helen told her with a bit of a smile.
"I still do like him alot, more than alot!!" Echo said while sitting up to emphasize.
"Hey now don't get carried away." Helen warned.
"I just might!" Echo chuckled playfully. But she saw the look on Helen's face and ran up to her room in a fit of giggles before she could get lectured again.
