Helen was conflicted. Mostly, a feeling of frustration with her sister dominated her. But, a voice in the back of her mind said that it was time to start letting Lucie go. She was growing up, unfortunately. The more Helen thought about this fact, the less determined she was to run off after Lucie and drag her home. She thought of what her mother would do about it. The answer was clear then. Echo was becoming a young woman. It was time to let her out into the world. But I'm not going to let her keep going out with this boy until I meet him... Helen thought with a smile.

It was a warm day outside and the sun was shining. Birdy decided to walk to Central Park to do some writing and have a walk. After walking about eight blocks, Birdy finally came to the huge green spot in the bustling city. She sighed with relief. She loved coming here, especially during the spring. When Birdy entered the park, a peaceful feeling swept over her. After walking down a 1/4 mile of paths, she came to her favorite spot in the park. It was a small bench that sat beside a little fountain. Little green shoots that would soon be flowers were starting to peep up through the thawed soil. Birdy sighed in contentment and sat down. She pulled her notebook and a pencil out of her purse and started to scribble some verse in it. Little descriptive poems about spring began to fill the pages. Suddenly, a familiar voice broke through her thoughtful state. "Fancy meeting you here." Birdy whirled around and saw Blink smiling mischieviously. "Blink! You scared me," she said with a laugh. Quickly, she snapped the notebook shut and placed it beside her before Blink could see it. Unfortunately, he noticed. He sat down beside her. "What's in the notebook?" he asked. He wasn't prying, he just wanted to know. Birdy blushed and looked at her feet. "Do you really want to know?" she inquired. "I would." "Well....I, I was writing poetry. I know it's weird," she said in a rush before he could respond. "Well, not that weird. I think it's kinda cool you do that. Not many girls are as smart as you," he said. Birdy let out her breath and relaxed her muscles. A blush tinted her cheeks. She grinned at her boyfriend, and stood up to give him a peck on the cheek. "Why don't we go get a frappacino? There's a Starbucks in the Zoo," she said eagerly, "I'll pay." "Well, let's go!" Blink said. They walked off hand in hand.

Echo sat in the dark movie theater with her head on Spot's shoulder, not paying any attention what so ever the the obscenely large screen directly in front of her face.
I wonder what Spot's thinking right now? Is he paying attention to the movie? Why am I thinking at all? I normally don't do this at a movie... did they just say pudding? What movie did we buy tickets so anyway?!! Was it pudding related? Gosh I'm weird oh well. Hey, now they're eating the pudding!
"Why are you laughing?" spot whispered in her ear.
"I'm giggling. And I don't really know why, i'm just in a bouncy mood today I guess." Echo told him with a shrug. Spot looked at her curiously, then remembered that he loved her strange mood swings and kissed her on the cheek. Echo let out another small chuckle and linked fingers with her man.
"Is this movie about pudding?" Echo asked a few minutes later.
"What?" he replied.
((not trying to be silly, but this does happen to me sometimes and it was the first thing that came to mind.))

(( can't help but feel a little guilty about leaving my poor Snicker hanging! I did ditch the poor girl for this guy: Is this really the last post?)) --Big skip in time--- Snicker sat cross legged on the sofa in Specs' basement. They'd finished studding early and decided to just watch a movie to kill the remainder of time she had. It was a comedy, but it still had a little bit of romance in it; just not enough for anyone to consider it a romantic comedy. Neither of them were really paying any attention to the action on the screen, they wouldn't have even been able to hear it over the sound of their laughing. "You really said that?!" Snicker exclaimed holding her aching sides. She could hardly believe the story Specs was telling her; let alone breathe. "Yeah, it was stupid, I know. But it just had to be said!" He said with a grin. The laughs stopped abruptly as the pair stared at one another for a moment. Was I sitting this close to him before... Snicker wondered as the two lingered closer and closer to each other before they found themselves connected; at the lips. A short but so meaningful kiss. Snicker blushed bright red and his her tiny smile under her hair. "Wow." She breathed so softly. Her phone vibrated and she read the incoming text as quick as lightning. "I... I have to go..." She said. "Hey," he grabbed her by the arm before she could take another step, "I'll see you tomorrow." ((Waaah! ))

((It's true, but even if we don't really feel it anymore birds, newsies is like our baby. this site is our offspring! and even though writing about newsies is hard, I will say that newsie related things will always make me excited. They will always have a place in my heart, and even I can't write about them with the same passion I had before, I will always love them))
